is responsible for designing, programming, and optimizing CNC
machining processes for both new product development and existing
projects. The CNC Applications Engineer will also support
troubleshooting, provide technical expertise, and recommend process
improvements to maximize machine capabilities and
efficiency.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssist and Support production teams
in building and implementing new processes and new program
launches.Design, develop, and implement control systems using PLCs
to automate manufacturing, production, and other industrial
processes.Analyze new product development and current processes and
workflows to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement
automation solutions to streamline operationsAnalyze and optimize
control system performance by refining PLC programs and adjusting
parameters to improve efficiency, safety, and productivity.Provide
ongoing maintenance and support for automated systems, including
troubleshooting issues, making necessary updates, and improving
system performanceDevelop and maintain detailed technical
documentation, including process flows, programming code, and
system configurations.Ensure efficiency and productivity by
evaluating and modifying production processes and/or equipment to
decrease cycle timesDevelop ongoing quality control testing
procedures to be incorporated into the regular production
process.Coordinate and perform tests at the quality control stage
of the manufacturing process.Accurately quote machined parts to
customers in a timely fashion.Assist in the analysis and
justification for new and or additional equipment.Ensure continued
improvements and justifications to current machine practices and/or
proceduresProgram and machine new fixturing using CAD and CAM
software and CNC machines.Comply with mandated ISO quality
procedures.Work with vendors/suppliers to purchase consumable and
custom tooling.Maintain regular and predictable attendance.Perform
other related duties as assigned.Must be able to interact in person
with coworkers and the public; must be able to effectively present
information to management, public groups, and/or boards of
directors.Must be able to handle high stress situationsMust be able
to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers,
regulatory agencies, or members of the business

essential functions.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCEBachelors degree in engineering (preferred)3-5 years of
machining experience & setup and operation of MAZAK, HAAS, & FANUC
controls.Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam,
SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).Knowledge of tooling and tooling
capabilities.Knowledge of robotics and automation in CNC
machiningKnowledge of GD&TKnowledge of database, design,
Internet, inventory, manufacturing, spreadsheet, and word
processing software.Knowledge of machines and tools, including
their designs, uses, operation, and maintenance, as well as various
types of inspection equipment.SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust have
effective communication skills, in written, verbal, or presentation
formAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and
technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.Ability
to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical
inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and
trigonometry, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios, and proportions to practical situations.PHYSICAL
DEMANDSRoutinely required to stand and walk; use hands to handle
and feel; reach with arms and hands; as well as climb, balance,
stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRoutinely lift and/or move up to 25
pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100
poundsSpecific vision requirements include depth perception and the
ability to adjust focus.Must be able to wear all necessary safety
equipment.ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSRoutinely work in noisy
environment.Routinely exposed to moving and mechanical parts and
