Systems.Summary BAE Systems is seeking a Test Equipment Engineer
(TEE) for our Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) business
location in Fort Wayne, IN. Being a trusted provider of aerospace
solutions, the CAS business develops, produces, and services
advanced and highly reliable electronic controls for the leading
manufacturers of commercial and military aircraft including their
flight and propulsion systems. As a member of BAE Systems' team,
you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with complex
electronic controls and solve challenging technical problems that
both enhance our products performance and matter to our
customers.In this Test Equipment Engineer role, the qualified
candidate will support electronic controls test equipment within
the Fort Wayne factory and other BAE Systems sites worldwide. You
will make impacts in the following ways:
- Hands-on implementation of hardware test requirements with
in-house and/or third part automated test solutions.
- Initiating continuous improvement of our electronic controls in
response to test performance and yields.
- Design, integration, maintenance, and configuration management
of automated test hardware and software.
- Supporting repair and maintenance for equipment installed at
BAE Systems locations around the world.
- Liaising with Design Engineering in Endicott, New York to
execute test solutions for new products.Performance accountability
is provided through Program Management, Engineering leadership, and
Operations to ensure test solutions meet the required coverage,
reliability, efficiency, usability, and maintainability needs of
the organization. Willing to train qualified applicants with
applicable background.This role involves a combination of hands-on
product/test equipment engagement, collaborative teaming, and
independent work. Therefore, it will take the form of a hybrid work
format, with time split between working onsite in the Fort Wayne,
IN manufacturing facility and remotely. Some light travel may be

BS in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering and 3+ years of relevant and professional
experienceElectronics troubleshooting and instrument familiarity
(analog, digital, power, communications).Demonstrated proficiency
in problem solving and critical thinking.Experience with
electronics test equipment design and integration.Ability to
interpret and implement electronic hardware test
requirements.Ability to read, edit, and integrate
software.Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation
skills.Ability to effectively multitask and manage
priorities.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience automating test instrumentation for both test and
fault diagnosis.
- Ability to program in various software environments (ex. Basic,
UNIX, C++, NI LabVIEW, NI Test Stand, Visual Studio, Python,
etc.)
- Familiarity with hardware design certification standards and
testing requirements.
- Experience working in a high-paced manufacturing
environment.
- Experience with statistical process control techniques and
analytical tools (ex. 6 Sigma).
- Ability to propose, quote, and execute test equipment project
plans, schedules, and budgets.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary
Range: $75510 - $128340Please note: This range is based on our
market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined
by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
