This role requires a strong understanding of trailer components, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.COMPENSATIONThis position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards, consisting of an hourly base pay plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.LOCATION9138 Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809HOURSMonday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM ET
RESPONSIBILITES Perform repair, maintenance, and service work on rental fleet vehicles. Complete repair and maintenance tasks within set deadlines Understand recall and warranty information from OEMs. Utilize and read service manuals. Verify all repair and maintenance items are properly installed and complete workshop orders accurately. Understand PTR return, check-in, and QC inspection processes. Execute all quality and safety standards regarding repair and maintenance procedures. Perform electronic vehicle check-ins to capture all billable damages. Troubleshoot basic automotive mechanical and electrical problems. Prioritize safety, quality, and customer service. Escalate judgment calls to the department manager. Work with team members and department manager to improve repair and maintenance processes. 5S (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain): Implement and uphold 5S principles within the workspace to improve efficiency and organization. REQUIREMENTSMUST HAVEMinimum of three years of Trailer mechanical and electrical experienceKnowledge of weld new rub rails, jack mounts, jack feet etc. Experience in performing inspection, repair, maintenance, and service work on rental fleet trailers.Must provide your own tool set capable of performing standard repairsExperience in performing light-duty service and repairs on fleet trucks when requiredExperience with troubleshooting and repair trailer electrical, suspension, brakes, small gas engines, and hydraulicsAbility to provide safe and secure welds utilizing a MIG welder Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed. Knowledge of and ability and proficiency using a variety of hand and power tools. Flexibility and adaptability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Experience in removing and replace outer skins and flooring/decking Ability to Mount and balance tiresStrong team player.Ability to work both inside the shop environment and outdoors.Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.Basic written communication skills and proficiency in using a tablet.NICE TO HAVE Ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness.Ability to weld aluminumEMPLOYEE BENEFITS Wellness Program: Experience our on-site CrossFit-style gym, complete with a dedicated full-time personal trainer.
