Working together with our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and service work on a range of vehicles in our customized rental fleet.COMPENSATIONThis position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards, consisting of an hourly base pay plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.LOCATION9138 Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809HOURSMonday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM ET
RESPONSIBILITES Perform repair, maintenance, and service work on rental fleet vehicles. Complete repair and maintenance tasks within set deadlines Understand recall and warranty information from OEMs. Utilize and read service manuals. Verify all repair and maintenance items are properly installed and complete workshop orders accurately. Understand PTR return, check-in, and QC inspection processes. Execute all quality and safety standards regarding repair and maintenance procedures. Perform electronic vehicle check-ins to capture all billable damages. Troubleshoot basic automotive mechanical and electrical problems. Prioritize safety, quality, and customer service. Escalate judgment calls to the department manager. Work with team members and department manager to improve repair and maintenance processes. 5S (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain): Implement and uphold 5S principles within the workspace to improve efficiency and organization. REQUIREMENTSMUST HAVE5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, fleet vehicles, and electrical automotive, heavy truck, or heavy equipment experienceProficiency in recall and warranty information from OEMsExpert skills in performing electronic vehicle check-ins to capture all billable damagesExperience in properly utilizing OE diagnostic equipmentMaintain a good driving record and be properly licensedYour own toolset capable of general automotive repair and diagnosticsProficiency in using a variety of hand, power, and diagnostic toolsFlexibility and adaptability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExperience in verifying all repairs, and maintenance items that are installed and completing workshop orders accuratelyStrong team playerAbility to work both inside the shop environment and outdoorsAbility to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsBasic written communication skills and proficiency in using a tablet NICE TO HAVEAbility to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulnessAbility to MIG weld steel and/or aluminumASE certifications Manufacturer Training (Ford, GM, and Chrysler)EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Wellness Program: Experience our on-site CrossFit-style gym, complete with a dedicated full-time personal trainer.
