Medix is hiring a Medical Assistant for a local Full time position within a large Surgical Clinic group, with multiple different locations available! Medical Assistant Details:

Schedule: M-F Ask For Shift Options
Specialties: Surgical, Radiology, Orthopedics/Podiatry, Clinical
Starting Pay Rate: $17 - 19 + Based on experience
Length: Contract to Hire // Long term Permanent!Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

• 80% Direct Patient Care, 20% administrative duties
• Duties include: Chart prep, rooming patients, vitals, med history, x-rays, castings (on and off), will be trained on custom casting for molding of braces, wound care, sutures & staples, changing of wound dressings, will be trained on diabetic shoeing, assist with xrays, setting up rooms for minor procedures, etc.
• Assisting with minor procedures such as ingrown nails, wart removals, etc.
• Can expect to room 15-20 patients/day
• Stocking inventory, cleaning and preparing patient rooms, rooming of patients and updating patient demographics. Medical Assistant Qualifications:
  
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Medical Assisting Diploma
  • BLS Certification Perks of Going Permanent: After 1 year of experience with the clinic, they offer FREE training to receive X-ray Certification!!
